2009 Summer Fun Runs
The Simply Fun Run on Saturday, June 27 starting at 9:00 a.m. at Mary's field. This event is designed for beginner, novice, timid, shy, insecure or nervous handlers (which pretty much describes all of us at one time or another). Training in the ring is allowed and encouraged. No timers, no pressure. Contact Holli (gladdogs@ekiva.net) for more information.
The Pretrial Fun Run on Saturday, July 25 or Sunday, July 26th. Tentatively we're planning a Fun Run the weekend before the AKC trial. The purpose will be to get the equipment moved up to Old Fort Lewis and then have a "shakedown" Fun Run to make sure we're ready for the trial.
If you have questions or want to put on a Fun Run, contact Michelle: oliveira@animas.net |

This is a good site for people who are self-contained RVers or campers. The trial will be on grass and there's a lot of space for camping & RVs (but no hook-ups). And because it is out of town there are no leash laws and plenty of room for walking & playing with dogs. The site has no amenities and the nearest store is 5 minutes away. We will have a food vendor. Durango is 15 minutes away with tons of restaurants and amenities.
Durango Agility Dogs Labor Day Weekend NADAC Trial
September 5th, 6th, and 7th 2009, Bayfield.
This is at the town park in Bayfield - the only change is that they are doing some construction so RVs will have to park in the parking lot - it won't be as nice for them as in years past. Otherwise the same as last year.

Once
you are on the AKC website you can look up AKC agility
trials and view all the clubs who are putting on trials
by state and date.
Instructions:
Go to www.akc.org, select "Events & Awards" > Search > Select
Date Range &
Competition type ("agility") > Click on all
states you want to view > Search. This will bring you
to a very detailed calendar listing all the trials in those
states, with most current trials listed first. You can select "Get
Club info" and "Get Map" for further details
on the event.
If
you are interested in what dogs placed in past trials,
you can select the club's name in the calendar and it
will take you to dates of that club's past trials, who
took what place, their time etc.
